Charles J. Pratt, Jr. is a principal in Dye Harrison. Mr. Pratt graduated from Florida State University School of Law in 1980 after obtaining a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Lenoir-Rhyne College in 1978. He began his legal career as a staff attorney of the Commerce Committee of the Florida House of Representatives, before returning to Bradenton.
Mr. Pratt primarily represents clients in the purchase and sale of commercial or residential real estate; in the purchase or sale of businesses such as retail businesses, commercial buildings and apartments; in financing transactions; and in the purchase of land and its subsequent development into residential and commercial projects. He also has experience in working with individuals in structuring estate plans, drafting wills and trusts, and establishing new business ventures, corporations, LLCs and partnerships. Mr. Pratt also handles mortgage foreclosures, business and contract disputes, and litigates consumer and commercial unsecured collections, including garnishment and replevin actions.
Mr. Pratt is a member of The Florida Bar and its Business Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Sections, and the American Bar Association.
